چکیده
We discuss aspects of generic two-dimensional dilaton gravity theories. The geometry is in general conformal to the anti--de Sitter space (${\mathrm{AdS}}_{2}$) and has IR curvature singularities at zero temperature; this can be regulated by a black hole. on-shell action divergent; we holographic energy-momentum tensor adding appropriate counterterms. For theories obtained dimensional reduction gravitational sector higher theories, for instance AdS as concrete example, description dovetails with one. also more containing an extra scalar field which now drives nontrivial dynamics. Finally cosmological discussed earlier work. These studies suggest that are somewhat distinct from Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) ``near JT''.

متن کاملTwo-Dimensional Dilaton Gravity
Actions for D = 2, N = 2 supergravity coupled to a scalar field are calculated, and it is shown that the most general power-counting renormalizable dilaton gravity action has an N = 2 locally supersymmetric extension. The presence of chiral terms in the action leads one to hope that non-renormalization theorems similar to those in global SUSY will apply; this would eliminate some of the renorma...
متن کاملBlack Holes and Two - Dimensional Dilaton Gravity
We study the conditions for 2-dimensional dilaton gravity models to have dynamical formation of black holes and construct all such models. Furthermore we present a parametric representation of the general solutions of the black holes.
متن کاملGeometrodynamical Formulation of Two-Dimensional Dilaton Gravity
Two-dimensional matterless dilaton gravity with arbitrary dilatonic potential can be discussed in a unitary way, both in the Lagrangian and canonical frameworks, by introducing suitable field redefinitions. The new fields are directly related to the original spacetime geometry and in the canonical picture they generalize the well-known geometrodynamical variables used in the discussion of the S...
متن کاملSemiclassical Quantization of Two-Dimensional Dilaton Gravity
Quantization of the dilaton gravity in two dimensions is discussed by a semiclassical approximation. We compute the fixed-area partition function to one-loop order and obtain the string susceptibility on Riemann surfaces of arbitrary genus. Our result is consistent with the approach using techniques of conformal field theories. A two-dimensional metric-dilaton system coupled to matter fields (d...
